Free Internet Services

    There are many places on the Internet where you can get free services. Free web page space, e-mail services, guestbooks, page counters/trackers, URL forwarding/redirection and, free or near-free ISPs (Freenets) make the Internet fun to use.     Alachua Freenet
    A non-profit ISP in Gainesville, Florida providing dial-in access to anyone from anywhere. You pay the toll charges if any. Free web pages and an e-mail service and address are included. No charge to Florida residents, $20/year fee to out-of-state users. Enroll on the WWW.

    Buffalo Free-Net
    A non-profit ISP providing free dial-in access in the eight county area of western New York. An e-mail service and address are included. Enroll by a combination of online and mail. Out-of-area New York State residents registration is permitted.

    Eugene Free Community Network
    A non-profit ISP in Eugene, Oregon providing dial-in access to anyone from anywhere, SLIP/PPP setup fee $20. You pay the toll charges if any. Free web page and e-mail account is included. Enroll via telnet, check their Help section for complete information.

    Freeppp.Com
    An ISP providing free dial-in access in the greater Yonkers/Poughkeepsie, NY region and Beaumont/Galveston, TX region for only the cost of the call. A free e-mail account is provided in conjunction with Slip.Net. Enroll on the WWW.

    Los Angeles Free-Net
    A non-profit ISP providing dial-in access in metropolitan Los Angeles for only $40/year (PPP) or $20/year (shell). An e-mail service and address are included in the fee. Enroll by mail.

    Michiana Free-Net
    A non-profit ISP providing dial-in access in metropolitan South Bend, Indiana for only $24/quarter (PPP or shell). An e-mail service and address are included in the fee. Enroll by mail.

    Rio Grande Free-Net
    A non-profit ISP providing free dial-in access in far west Texas (El Paso) and southeast New Mexico. An e-mail service, address and web page are included. Enroll by mail.

    Sunflower Community Network
    A non-profit ISP providing dial-in access in metropolitan Kansas City, MO for only $63.84/year and provides free web pages (2 Mb limit). Enrollment is via mail and out-of-state membership is accepted.

    Three Rivers Free-Net
    A non-profit ISP in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania providing free dial-in access (Lynx text browser) to anyone from anywhere. You pay the toll charges if any. Enrollment is not required.

    Tritium
    A for-profit ISP providing free dial-in access to anyone from anywhere with growing local dial-in numbers in major US cities.  You pay the toll charges if any.  Enrollment is required.

    Twin Cities Free-Net
    A non-profit ISP providing free dial-in access in metropolitan Minneapolis/St. Paul. An e-mail service, address and web page (200 Kb limit) are included. Suggested registration contribution: $40, $20 for seniors and students. Enroll by a combination of online and mail-in confirmation.

    Germany Net
    A non-profit ISP in Germany providing free dial-in access to any German resident. You get a free e-mail account and 250 Kb for a home page. You pay the toll charges if any. Enrollment by mail is required.
